Dirt, Lies and Audio has made a trademark of delivering huge big room trance bombs like the ones of Alexis Mixail. But the Cyprus based producer did not start out with trance at all.
First time I started producing I actually made house, not trance. I was playing around with different sounds when I came to realize I wanted a heavier, more pumping sound. The trance sound.
Alexis started experimenting with different melodies and out of the house ashes, Alexis first DLA trance release, Dema, was born.
I was very happy with Dema, and it received great support from a lot of people. It was the first time I managed to produce the sound that wanted, that special pumping tech trance sound with epic uplifting melodies. I followed up the initial success with a remix of Paul Dentons “Cabin Pressure” which reached the top 10 spot on the trackitdown charts.
